NCBA Bank has partnered with Mobikey Truck & Bus Ltd to offer flexible and accessible financing solutions for businesses seeking to acquire MAN Trucks, MAN Buses, Randon Trailers, and Hyundai Construction & Mining Equipment.

The agreement targets enterprises in key sectors such as logistics, transportation, construction, agriculture, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to grow their capacity through asset acquisition.

The NCBA and Mobikey Partnership was officially formalized in Nairobi in the presence of Lennox Mugambi, NCBA’s Group Director of Asset Finance and Business Solutions, and Ricardo Teixeira, CEO of Mobikey.

The partnership enables clients to access up to 100% financing for brand-new assets and 80% for used vehicles and equipment. Additional terms include a grace period of up to 60 days, competitive processing fees, and the ability to bundle insurance premiums and related costs into the overall loan amount.

According to Mugambi, the partnership is a timely solution for businesses seeking to scale operations but are constrained by upfront capital costs.

Ricardo Teixeira, CEO of Mobikey, said the collaboration is part of the company’s plan to deepen its presence in East Africa.

Mobikey, a subsidiary of the Portugal-based JAP Group, is the official distributor of MAN Truck & Bus, Hyundai Construction Equipment, Randon Trailers, and Powertrac agricultural machinery across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The JAP Group has operated in Africa since 2010 and brings over 120 years of expertise in the global automotive and mobility sectors.

Over the past six years, Mobikey in the East African market has become a key player in the region’s mobility and equipment distribution space. The company has invested in local assembly in Kenya, where certain MAN truck and bus models are manufactured and exported to neighboring countries.

In 2025, Mobikey sold 36 vehicles in Kenya alone, according to the Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMI), making it one of the top 11 new vehicle dealers in the country.

Mobikey’s product portfolio includes:

  • MAN Trucks: from light-duty TGL models to the heavy-duty TGS and TGX series
  • MAN Buses: city buses, intercity transit, and long-distance coaches
  • Randon Trailers: cargo trailers for long-haul logistics
  • Hyundai Construction Equipment: including excavators and wheel loaders for construction and mining operations
  • Powertrac Agricultural Machinery: supporting mechanized farming

Mobikey’s services extend to providing full lifecycle support, including on-road assistance, on-site technical servicing, and genuine spare parts to ensure long-term performance and reliability of assets.

This service model is intended to maximize uptime and asset utilization for clients across transport, mining, construction, and agriculture.
