Airtel Money Launches ‘Rudishiwa Paybill Offer’ to Return Fees as Airtime
Airtel Money has unveiled the ‘Rudishiwa Paybill Offer,’ an exciting initiative allowing customers to receive transaction fees back as airtime when they make payments using Airtel Paybills. This offer, aimed at adding value and convenience, ensures users stay connected throughout the festive season.
Under Rudishiwa Paybill Offer, customers will receive 50% of the transaction fee incurred on each Paybill transaction as airtime. This follows the success of the December 2023 Rudishiwa Campaign, which refunded transaction fees on withdrawals to Airtel Money customers.
Announcing the offer during Airtel Money’s Business Update, the company emphasized its focus on expanding its services and improving accessibility for users.
“The growing potential of mobile money has been crucial in enhancing financial inclusion and economic activity.” said Airtel Money Managing Director, Mrs Anne Kinuthia-Otieno.
“Mobile money has now become a primary mode of exchange and creating mechanisms to streamline this is crucial for societal well-being. Our main goal is to continuously give customers value, choice, affordability and convenience.” she added.
Airtel Money currently operates through an extensive network of over 90,000 agents and 2,300 exclusive branches across Kenya.

As part of its ongoing efforts to diversify its services, Airtel Money this week partnered with Moja Expressway Company to enable motorists to pay toll fees on the Nairobi Expressway using Airtel Money.
Customers can complete toll payments via Manual or Electronic Toll Collection systems using their Airtel Money-registered numbers. Payments can also be initiated via *819# or through the Moja Expressway website, with PIN authentication ensuring security.
To mark the festive season, Airtel Money is offering toll payments on the Nairobi Expressway free of transaction charges (excluding partner fees) until January 2025.
This initiative not only provides motorists with an affordable payment option but also reduces reliance on cash.
