HFCB Kenya Corporate Banking Platform With M-Pesa, PesaLink, RTGS

HFCB Kenya Unveils New Corporate Banking Platform With M-Pesa, PesaLink, RTGS

HFCB Kenya has partnered with Indian financial technology company Winjit Technologies to launch a new Corporate Mobile and Internet Banking platform targeting businesses and corporate customers.

The platform was unveiled on September 9, 2026, at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) in Mumbai, India, as the two companies seek to bring corporate banking transactions onto a single digital system.

The new platform combines account management, payments, approval workflows, user administration and transaction monitoring in one system, giving corporate customers access to multiple banking functions through mobile and internet channels.

HFCB Corporate Banking Platform

The platform is designed to support day-to-day financial operations for businesses, including single and bulk payments, account administration and approval processes. Corporate customers will be able to make payments through M-Pesa, PesaLink and Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), as well as process utility payments.

The system will also provide real-time transaction tracking, allowing businesses to monitor financial activity as transactions are processed.

For companies with multiple employees involved in financial management, the platform supports role-based access and configurable approval structures.

Businesses can create multi-level approval workflows for different users, including company managers, accountants, administrators and payment reviewers. This allows financial responsibilities to be assigned according to the role of each user within an organisation.

The platform also includes localised user administration, enabling businesses to manage users and their access to corporate banking services from the system.

Security features

HFCB’s new corporate banking platform also incorporates security features designed to address mobile fraud and application-related threats.

The system combines user authentication with device-binding and behavioural security mechanisms. These features are designed to monitor user and device activity, detect unusual behaviour and respond to potential fraud and cyber threats.

The security architecture is intended to provide protection across mobile banking activities while allowing authorised corporate users to access and manage their accounts.

Payments through M-Pesa, PesaLink and RTGS

A key component of the HFCB Kenya platform is its payment infrastructure, which brings several payment channels together for corporate users. Businesses will be able to initiate both individual and bulk payments, depending on their transaction requirements.

The platform supports transfers through M-Pesa and PesaLink, while RTGS provides a channel for eligible bank-to-bank transactions. It also supports automated utility settlements, allowing businesses to manage selected recurring payments through the corporate banking system.

The combination of payment processing, approval workflows and transaction tracking is intended to allow companies to manage these activities from one platform rather than separate systems.

Phased Rollout in Kenya

The platform will initially focus on corporate customers and businesses in Kenya, with the rollout scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

HFCB plans to introduce the service in phases, with details on customer onboarding and access expected to be provided by the bank as the rollout progresses.
