NCBA Uganda Rolls Out New NCBA Now, ConnectPlus Platforms to Strengthen Digital Banking
NCBA Uganda has officially launched upgraded versions of its internet banking platforms, NCBA Now and NCBA ConnectPlus, as part of its digital transformation strategy aimed at providing customers with faster, smarter and more secure banking services.
The platforms were unveiled at an event held at Four Points by Sheraton Kampala, bringing together financial sector stakeholders, regulators, customers and members of the media to highlight the growing role of digital banking innovation in Uganda’s financial services industry.
The launch event featured a live demonstration of NCBA Now, led by NCBA Uganda’s Head of Transactional Banking, Stella Tabingwa, who showcased how retail customers can manage their finances through the upgraded platform.
NCBA Now enables individual customers to access digital banking services including money transfers, payments and real-time transaction notifications through an enhanced user experience designed for convenient access.
NCBA ConnectPlus, the business banking platform, provides companies with integrated financial management tools, including bulk payments, reporting capabilities and enhanced controls to support business transactions.
Speaking during the launch, NCBA Group Director of Transactional Banking, Sally Chege, said the group continues to invest in digital capabilities across its markets to improve customer experiences and deliver banking solutions.
“Across NCBA Group, we continue to invest in digital capabilities that enhance customer experiences and deliver innovative banking solutions across our markets. The launch of NCBA Internet Banking reflects our commitment to leveraging technology to make banking more seamless, secure and accessible.” Chege said.
NCBA Uganda Chief Executive Officer Mark Muyobo said the upgraded platforms were developed based on customer needs and form part of the bank’s transition towards becoming a digital-first financial institution.
“At NCBA, we believe banking should never be a barrier to ambition, it should enable it. NCBA Now and NCBA Connect Plus were developed by listening to our customers and reimagining the digital banking experience,” Muyobo said.
He added that the launch represents a milestone in NCBA Uganda’s efforts to deliver simpler and more accessible banking services.
The launch was officiated by Dr. Tumubweinee Twinemanzi from the Bank of Uganda, who commended NCBA’s continued investment in digital innovation and its contribution to advancing financial inclusion.
NCBA Uganda Executive Director Julius Konyani also reaffirmed the bank’s focus on innovation and customer-centred growth during the event.
The upgraded internet banking platforms form part of NCBA Group’s broader regional digital banking rollout, with the lender seeking to provide consistent digital banking experiences across its East African markets.
