Ubuntu Tribe Expands Continental Footprint as Africa Accelerates Towards a New Era of Shared Ownership and Financial Infrastructure

As Africa enters a defining period of economic transformation, Ubuntu Tribe is emerging as one of the continent’s growing financial infrastructure players, positioning itself at the intersection of technology, ownership, capital access, and African economic integration.

In recent weeks, Ubuntu Tribe executives participated in two of Africa’s most influential leadership gatherings: the Africa Future Forward Summit in Kenya and the Africa CEO Forum in Rwanda, engaging with heads of state, policymakers, institutional investors, development financiers, and business leaders focused on shaping Africa’s economic future.

At the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Ubuntu Tribe also hosted an exclusive high-level cocktail gathering themed “Trust, Capital and Growth: Shaping Africa’s Next Economic Era”, convening senior decision-makers, institutional leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors for conversations around the future of African capital markets, financial inclusion, and interoperable economic systems.

The Forum brought together more than 2,500 leaders from over 90 countries under the theme “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

For Ubuntu Tribe, participation across both forums reflects a broader vision: helping build trusted, compliant, and interoperable financial infrastructure capable of connecting African communities, institutions, and real-world assets to new forms of capital and ownership.

The company is focused on creating systems that make global-grade financial tools more accessible across emerging markets, while enabling Africans to participate more directly in the value generated from the continent’s resources and economies.

“Africa’s next chapter will depend on the infrastructure we build today,” said Mamadou Kwidjim Toure, CEO and Founder of Ubuntu Tribe.

“The question is no longer whether Africa will participate in the future financial system. The question is whether Africans will own meaningful parts of it. We are building infrastructure designed to expand access, trust, and long-term economic participation across the continent.”

Widely recognised as an African economic infrastructure builder and systems thinker, Toure has spent more than two decades working across infrastructure, finance, technology, and cross-border investment ecosystems, contributing to transactions and initiatives spanning billions of dollars across the continent.

Ubuntu Tribe is a regulated fintech and digital finance group focused on tokenized real-world assets and next-generation financial rails. Its ecosystem provides individuals and institutions with access to gold-backed savings, digital payments, asset-backed financial products, and programmable financial infrastructure through secure and compliant systems.

The platform currently serves users across 180 countries and has facilitated approximately $500 million in precious metals trading.

Its flagship product, $GIFT Gold, enables users to buy, save, send, and transact using gold-backed digital assets with investments starting from as little as $0.10, making access to traditionally exclusive asset classes more inclusive and borderless.

Ubuntu Tribe believes Africa is uniquely positioned to benefit from the rise of tokenized finance, interoperable payment systems, and digitally connected capital markets.

Industry analysts estimate the global tokenized real-world asset market could surpass $50 trillion by 2030, while leading global institutions continue accelerating blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure.

Against this backdrop, Ubuntu Tribe says Africa has an opportunity to move beyond fragmented financial systems and towards scalable infrastructure that enables broader participation, stronger intra-African economic connectivity, and more resilient ownership structures.

The organisation’s growing visibility at major continental leadership forums reflects its ambition to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s long-term economic architecture, particularly around trust, capital formation, financial interoperability, and inclusive ownership.

Beyond technology, Ubuntu Tribe positions itself as part of a wider African movement focused on building systems that create economic dignity, preserve value, and expand access to opportunity across borders and generations.

The company says its long-term vision is to help individuals, businesses, and institutions preserve purchasing power, access global assets fairly, and participate more fully in the evolving global economy regardless of geography or starting wealth.
