Absa Kenya Partners with Visa to Launch Kenya’s First Metallic Infinite Card
Absa Bank Kenya has partnered with Visa to launch Kenya’s first metallic Infinite card. This premium card offering is designed to cater to the exclusive needs of affluent individuals who appreciate both luxury and convenience. The grand unveiling of the metallic Infinite card took place at the Nairobi National Park.
The event was graced by Abdi Mohamed, Managing Director & CEO of Absa Bank Kenya PLC, alongside an esteemed team of executives, including James Agin, Managing Principal of Corporate and Investment Banking; Moses Muthui, Director of Consumer Banking; Seema Dhanani-deSouza, Director of Affluent Consumer Business; and Chad Pollock, Vice President and General Manager of Visa East Africa.
Absa’s Abdi Mohamed emphasized the Bank’s dedication to developing solutions tailored to meet the needs of every customer segment, stating, “Today, more than ever, customers and businesses demand flexibility, efficiency, and personalization in how they transact. As a business, we understand that we cannot afford to have an approach of a one-fits-all.”
“Through our partnership with Visa, the Absa Visa Infinite Card strengthens our affluent portfolio by providing exclusive spending power, enhanced protection, and superior rewards.” Abdi Mohamed added.

The metallic Infinite card stands out from traditional plastic cards not only in terms of its luxurious appearance but also in its commitment to sustainability. Unlike plastic cards, which have a shorter lifespan and contribute to environmental concerns, the metallic Infinite card offers a longer durability, making it a more sustainable choice. This aligns with Absa’s broader goal of becoming net zero by 2050.
Beyond its sustainability benefits, the Infinite cardholders can enjoy unlimited access to over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide. Additionally, the card grants access to 900 hotels worldwide.
The metallic Infinite card further comes with 24-hour concierge services to provide personalized support and assistance.
The introduction of the metallic Infinite card in Kenya comes less than three weeks after Absa Bank launched its Signature and Infinite cards in Ghana. Like the metallic Infinite card, these two debit cards were designed for the bank’s premier and affluent clients.
Currently, Absa Bank Ghana offers four affluent cards, with the Prestige and Premium Platinum cards being launched in late August.
