Absa Bank Expands with Second Branch in Eldoret

Absa Bank has launched a new branch in Rupa’s Mall, Eldoret, bringing its total number of branches in Kenya to 85.

This new outlet, the second in Eldoret, is set to offer a wide array of services including transactional accounts, savings accounts, deposit accounts, Shari’ah-compliant solutions, and financial advisory services.

It aims to cater to the growing consumer and business markets in Eldoret and its surrounding areas, providing services such as forex exchange, money transfers, bill payments, and digital banking.

Absa Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Abdi Mohamed, emphasized the bank’s commitment to improving customer experience and reaching underbanked populations.

He highlighted the importance of extending banking services to the thriving business community in the Rift Valley.

“We are happy to open our doors to the people of Eldoret and the larger Rift region with our second branch in Eldoret. This is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience and expanding our footprint to serve the under banked,” said Abdi Mohamed.

“The bank aims to empower Africa’s tomorrow together, one story at a time,” he added.

The Rupa Mall branch will also support the expanding consumer and business sectors in Eldoret and nearby regions.

This expansion fits into Absa Bank’s larger strategy of enhancing its customer-centric approach through increased physical presence and digital technology, as the bank will further offer forex exchange, money transfers, bill payments, and digital banking,

Rupa’s Mall, a vast development covering 8.5 acres, is a strategic location with high customer traffic. The mall features a supermarket, restaurants, offices, banks, a cinema, a children’s play area, a water park, and various retail shops, making it an ideal location for the bank.

Eldoret, Kenya’s fifth-largest town, is an economic hub renowned for its contributions to agriculture, trade, manufacturing, hospitality, tourism, and a growing small and medium enterprise sector. Absa’s new branch aims to support these economic activities by offering enhanced banking services.

This expansion is part of Absa Bank’s strategy to strengthen its physical presence and leverage digital capabilities to deliver accessible and comprehensive banking solutions to underserved regions.
